I was living in Crestview, FL. My wife was working with a Day Care and I was in the final stages of unemployment. I had just started working as interim minister at Niceville only one week earlier.
My sister called while we were getting ready to go to the Day Care Center and mentioned that Plane had hit a building in New York. She probably called about 200 other people that morning as well. We didn’t have cable and there were no local television stations so we couldn’t watch the news. I was having computer troubles and the internet connection was really slow so I decided to go into the library and see what was happening.
Except for some time Wednesday evening watching the television in the student union building of the community center of the community college between dropping my wife off for class and starting Wednesday evening services at the church I experienced 9/11 primarily online and over the radio.
