How is your church’s online community?

I want to create an active and vibrant online extension of our local church community, but I want to see another one in action too.

I am going to start poking into ministry forums and asking about churches who have been building online communities.

Successes, failures, and other results.

Have you tried this? Have you seen any?

Bob, have you seen LifeRay (http://liferay.com)? It’s open source portal software. It may be just what you’re looking for.

I looked at the requirements first and it requires Java, which we do not use.

Hi, take a look at our site. I am looking for help in promoting ShowMeChrist.com to churches who want to join us with a free subdomain site. An example is http://glendale.showmechrist.com.

We are using a modified version of Moodle at the portal and suplimenting communication with AvWebCom.com online conference room.
